Mewn cyfarfod cyhoeddus a gynhaliwyd yng Nghastell Amwythig, ddydd
Sadwrn, Gorffennaf 23ain, 1949, ffurffwyd Cymdeithas Ddawns Werin Cymru.
Penderfynwyd ar y Cyfansoddiad yma.
Enw'r Gymdeithas fydd " Cymdeithas Ddawns Werin Cymru."
Amcan y Gymdeithas yw astudio a gwneuthir yn hysbys yr hyn a
wyddis eisoes am y ddawns werin Cymreig ; unoli y gwaith a wneir
ynglyn a'r ddawns werin , a threfni ymchwil pellach.
Aelodau'r Gymdeithas i dalu o leiaf 5/- yn y flwyddyn, ac
aelodau am oes igyfrannu rhodd heb fod yn llai na £5.
Bydd gan bob aelod hawl i fod yn bresennol ymhob Cyfarfod
Cyffredinol o'r Gymdeithas, ac i bleidleisio ynddo. Pan fo aelod yn
esgeuluso talu ei gyfraniadau derfydd ei aelodaeth.
Swyddogion y Gymdeithas fydd : Llywydd, Is-lywydd, Cadeirydd,
Trefnydd, Trysorydd, Golygydd ac Ysgrifennydd, ac etholir hwynt o
newydd bob blwyddyn trwy bleidlais ddirgel yng Ngharfod Blynyddol y Cymdeithas.
Trefnir gweithrediadau'r Gymdeithas gan Bwyllgor Gwaith yn
cynnwys Swyddogion (ar wahan i'r Llywydd, a'r Is-lywyddion) ynghyd a
deuddeg aelod arall a etholir trwy bleidlais ddirgel yn y Cyfarfod
Blynyddol. Bydd gan y Pwyllgor Gwaith hawl i gyfethol tri aelod yn ychwanegol.
Gwneir archwiliad o dderbyniadau a thaliadau'r Gym- deithas
gan archwiliwr a benodir yn y Cyfarfod Blynyddol.
Mewn Cyfarfod Cyffredinol o aelodau'r Gymdeithas yn unig y
gelli'r newid y Cyfansodiad hwn, a hynny ar argym- helliad o'r
Pwyllgor Gwaith.

At a public meeting held at The Castle, Shrewsbury, on
Saturday, July 23rd 1949, the Welsh Folk Dance Society was formed.
The following Constitution was decided upon:
The Society shall be called " The Welsh Folk Dance Society."
The object of the Society shall be to study and make known
generally Welsh Folk Dance material already collected and published,
to co-ordinate Welsh folk dance activities, and to make further research.
The Society shall consist of members who pay an annual
subscription of not less than 5/-, and life members who contribute a
donation of not less than £5.
Every member shall be entitled to attend and vote at all
General Meetings of the Society. Anyone whose subsciption is in
arrears will cease to be a member of the Society.
The Officers of the Society shall be : President,
Vice-Presidents, Chairman, Organiser, Treasurer, Editor and to be
elected by ballot each year at the Annual Meeting of the Society.
The affairs of the Society shall be managed by an Executive
Committeewhich shall consist of the Officers of the Society
(excluding the President and Vice-Presidents) together with twelve
memberselected by ballot at the Annual Meeting. The Executive
Committee shall have power to co-opt three additional members.
The account of receipt and expenditure of the Society shall be
audited by an auditor appointed at the Annual Meeting.
No alterations in the Constitution shall be made except at the
General Meeting of the members of the Society upon a recommendation
from the Executive Committee. |
